1. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque includes a variety of post-modern architectural designs enriching its historical Islamic tastes. The late Sheikh Zayed aimed to establish a historical Mosque, personifying the Islamic message of peace, tolerance and diversity.  He intended to turn the Grand Mosque into a living reference in modern Islamic architecture linking the past with the present in a harmonious melody.

20. Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) owns and operates the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which is the largest exhibition venue in the Middle East. It is part of an international venue development and business management company overseeing the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ExCeL London, the Al Ain Convention Centre, Capital Gate, and Capital Centre. It can also be referred to as ADNEC Group.

 

21. Heritage Village

A living exhibition of the lifestyle and traditions of Bedouin and other cultures.

Meet Abu Dhabi’s Heritage Village, a family-friendly spot to experience the traditional way of life in the desert. The village is an immersive time capsule, with an old-world souk (market), mosque and camp modelled on life in pre-modern UAE.

Located on the Marina Mall Island close to the city center, the traditional oasis village offers a glimpse at Abu Dhabi’s past. Here you can shop, discover artefacts and watch artisans make pottery, blow glass and weave fabric on a loom.

23. Emirates National Auto Museum

The unique collection of vehicles at the Emirates National Auto Museum is unmissable for any car lover visiting Abu Dhabi. The pyramid-shaped car museum is located in Al Dhafra, just a 45-minute drive from Abu Dhabi city, and is home to over 200 cars owned by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

 

There are plenty of photo opportunities even before you step into the museum, like the retired passenger jet and world’s largest model jeep parked outside. Inside the museum, you’ll find a collection of off-road vehicles, classic American cars and the Sheikh’s Mercedes rainbow collection. Fans of the BBC television programme Top Gear will notice some familiar cars too.

 

24. Mangrove National Park

Worlds away from skyscrapers and the bustling city nightlife of Abu Dhabi, there is a serene place which will leave you with a sense of being renewed. This reserve of beauty and biodiversity is called Mangrove National Park. This biodiversity hotspot includes salt marshes, mudflats, algal communities, the water channel, the dense trees, the wildlife and more – that nature truly is beautiful.

25. The Founder’s Memorial

This unique cultural attraction celebrates the life, legacy and values of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, known as the Father of the Nation. This memorial offers locals and international travellers a unique way to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the UAE, with experiences designed to reveal aspects of the country’s broader social, cultural and environmental heritage, from art to stories, exhibitions and more.

The memorial features a Sanctuary Garden including seating areas and a traditional falaj (ancient irrigation system), a Heritage Garden rich with medicinal desert plants, and an elevated walkway offering captivating views of the Arabian Gulf, the city’s dazzling skyline, and the center piece of The Founder’s Memorial, The Constellation.
